Рок-баллада «Wind of change» написана вокалистом команды Scorpions и посвящена окончанию холодной войны. Сингл был выпущен в 1990 году и мгновенно взлетел на верхушки чартов США и Европы, став настоящим хитом. В 2005 году пользователи немецкого телевизионного канала ZDF присудили композиции звание «Песня века».

Видеоклип к песне представляет сочетание кадров из концертных выступлений коллектива и кадров войны. Вскоре после релиза трека была разрушена Берлинская стена и распался СССР, что явилось знаковой эпохой в истории человечества.  Поэтому для многих людей эта композиция, несущая мир во всем мире, олицетворяет начало новой жизни.
